Scholarships & Assistance 

West Texas A&M University awards approximately $5 million each year in scholarships to new and continuing students, with the average award totaling $1,200 per year. Students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and special talent are considered for University scholarships. Financial need may be a consideration.

College Scholarships

The following scholarships are available to all students enrolled in a Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences degree program.

Greater Texas Foundation Dr. Fred and Betty Stoker Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship  

Greater Texas Foundation-Dr. Fred and Betty Stoker Removing Educational Barriers Scholarship was established in 2007 by Fred Stocker in partnership with the Greater Texas Foundation and honors the marriage of Fred and Betty Stoker, their commitment to family, and the value of education. The recipient must be a Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences majors enrolled a minimum of 12 hours per semester. Preference will be given based on need; may be renewable.
